But in case you want proof:

Lungs from last week

lungs from july of 05

side view (with necklaces) last week

side view from July

Not that I can tell much from looking at the pictures, beyond that I have lungs, and bones. But I'm very happy to have a picture of them on CD.

YES!!! Excellent news. And lovely bones! :) :)
[Fri 08:55] Penelope ~
I'd worry about my back curving forward in that last one, but having just been pushed, nudged and moved into the position they wanted for number two last week, I figure either it's where they put me, or where they put the rest of me and no one bothered with my shoulders.

Don't the bones come through pretty. :-) I like this X-ray on computer stuff. If I have more I'll be sure to collect them!

Ok, in hopes of making it easier on those of you not wanting to go hunting on the sidebar for the link to my photo sets on Flicker, that word is now automatically linked -- and clicking on it, at least in theory, will take you to the page of photo sets, from whence you can choose the most recent, or any you haven't seen, or all, or whatever you want. My mother on dial up reports they aren't hard to deal with. I'm uploading them on dial up, so even the individual photos aren't huge. The thumbnails in the sets often chop off bits and pieces near the edges, that aren't always chopped off in the real picture. It depends though. And some of the chopping off is not Flicker's fault.

Let me know if it works. It's harder for me to test out, since most of the time that I'm posting stuff relating to Flicker, I'm also loggged in there, and can't get the same response as the great unwashed, er, teaming masses.

That's it, I'm off to bed. No new pictures since yesterday.

The Flicker links ARE nice. They work fine, and are easier to use. So, thank you! Nice pics; we love Sid Vicious.

it's in as an automatic thing now - whenever I type the word. So if I talk about the lights flickering, the "flicker" part will be linked. :-) But, I heard doubt in some voices about getting to the pictures from the sidebar. I took some of Logan yesterday that I told her I'd post, but I think those will have to wait until later tonight or tomorrow = she and I are supposed to be out of the house all day, except she was up way late again last night, and I'm torn between what I need to get done, and how long she'll want to spend playing, and how much sleep she could use.

Thanks! Those are nice to see. There was one moment where, in the tiny thumbnail, I thought another woman was you but it seemed you had gotten your hair cut. Needless to say I practically fell over. Clicking on it helped. A very attractive woman, but not you! Hope you are well. Please post as soon as you hear about the breathing issue, am worried. XO

Erin: ask and it shall be given... see lungs above :-)

We went to Tia Hanna's House today for Easter Egg Hunting and visiting with her and the rest of Susan's family. Tia Hanna, like what seems like every second woman around me is expecting her second child in the next few months. I've got a bunch of baby gifts to make, and am very thankful not to be a pregnant woman on top of everything else in life right now.

Pictures are up at the Flicker link in the sidebar, for today. Logan hunting eggs, learning to make a lawn daisy garland, and John and Logan visiting with Sir Logan's rat, Stewart Big. We had fun, and are all ready to go to sleep about at sunset.

Being the 'Susan' in 'Susan's family' - I would like to say that we had such a great time w/ you and John and Logan yesterday! The wool eggs you made/brought us were amazing! And being able to hunt for eggs w/ the grandchildren was such a treat for me! Thanks for including us in your family circle! We love you.

Such as it is. Once Logan wakes, or I wake her at 9, we'll get set and go collect Nonny Susan to head to Eugene for a Chest X-Ray for me (for the Dermatologist to check for whether my breathing is screwy due to metastasis or just allergies and asthma), a fun lunch out (which I hope is not a third day of cheese free pizza for Logan), a trip to JoAnne Fabrics for their sale -- patterns for something really simple that I can sew, I hope, baskets, items Logan can't live with out, what ever Susan finds, the usual drill... and then the grocery store. And whatever I've forgotten. But it will be fun to go somewhere with Susan when I'm not flat out sick.

It is important to remember to take everything out of the front seat of the car before we leave to pick up Susan this morning!

And now we leave one dog in the house - to keep him from trying to doggy-dominate the lamb and biting Sid's neck. One dog out to keep him from peeing on the floor. Lamb out, but well bottle fed and grazing now that he's had an anti inflamatory shot (by me!) and his throat isn't so sore. Life on a farm... laid back? HA!

Whoops, Logan's up, time to eat and find clothes and all that good stuff. With luck we won't come home with the car filled with projects for our second break week (and the whole summer, and who knows what else!)

PS -- just heard from my friend Joana (Joana of same birthday as mine, hours different in age, known each other since Eckerd! That Joana) that her dad is sick -- folks, think some good thoughts for him, and for Joana who's getting a bit stressed I'd imagine. Joana, I'll call eventually, we're on break next week too, but this week has been crazy and exhausting, so I have no idea what next will be like.

A couple taken by Logan. And a couple others that she or I took -- I was going to post them here, but our ftp program isn't cooperating, so you get the standard pointer to Flicker.

For Dad -- Sid Vicious, in case you didn't realize, rather than were making jokes, the original, was a punk rocker. He died at age 21 of a drug overdose, twenty odd years ago. He wore a trademark dog chain and padlock around his neck (hence Sid the lamb's chain and lock in picture). Bummer's of all sorts have a tendency to run into trouble rather than away from it, sort of like punk rockers. Which made the name seem appropriate. Day old lambs, even trying to take on dogs, cats, etc, can't be vicious, just quite adventurous and pushy. You can see the Original Sid or read about him, here on Wikipedia. He died in 1979, after making a very memorable name for himself.

Ok, I give up, Pictures should appear in their own little Flicker group this morning. At the moment the computer is running so slowly (dial up) that I haven't even gotten logged on. Follow the link in the sidebar. Look for the grouping of pictures that you haven't seen yet. You're smart enough, I'm sure. And at least some of you have faster connections than I do. The ditch witch is coming to my house, I don't know when yet, but I'm nearly counting the days, and then we'll see about a new phone line, and see if that improves the dialup at all. Probably not, but I can hope.

Oh yeah. Anyone donated to Joe yet? (see post below.) No, non-credit-card-on-line folks, I don't know if they take checks, but it seems like there's a good chance. Look around the site and see. I got an error when I looked for names I recognized last night, and it didn't want to accept a donation, but it seems to be back to normal this morning. I've found a local fight AIDS walk, that I'm looking at -- it depends how short their course is, and how my damn Asthma screwed up lungs are doing in another month. I don't think I'll try for pleges on line, or to match Joe's goals at all, but I'd love to walk. Too many friends and family have been affected by that damn plague.

Hey Folks, I posted last year, here it is again. Joe Cook, John's (and my) friend from all those years in FL is participating in a walk to raise money for the fight against HIV and AIDS. This is Joe who John used to sit up and have "wine nights" with -- who John still bemoans not having anyone to drink wine with now in comparison. This was Joe who was half of the pair representing North in John's and my wedding -- gods 11 years ago in a few weeks. And who was the Ass who told us it wouldn't be official if we didn't do some odd bit according to official custom (show's you Joe, seems to have stuck this far!) (It's ok, we've also shown Craig (RIP Craig, I still miss you) who suggested it was a bad idea to fuck up a good relationship by getting married.) :-)

Hey Joe, get your butt in gear and come visit - after the walk maybe, you don't have a farm to bring along, we've got a, well, a couch, or a hotel a few miles away. And actually, for a wine night, you and John could both go to the hotel, and I'll sleep in peace! And your partner can sleep in peace at our house if he doesn't want to participate in the wine night either.

Joe's walk page is here, take a look, then give him as much money as you can. Yes, we have or are. The page is open, I'm going to go do it as I post this.

Then later this afternoon we'll go find out if we owe taxes or get any money back. If not this year, we're bound to owe next year between Chocolate Alchemy actually looking like it will make enough money to take note of and selling the Churchill House (think good thoughts for a better appraisal on it so closing can still happen on Beltaine!).

Mom, I'm running a little late on the Sunday call. I haven't forgotten. I'm just running late. I hope to catch up eventually. It's school break week. Which changes everything. :-)

LOL. I miss those wine nights too. I'll never forget the time that we went through our usual wine, and then deciced to open up the BIG bottle of chianti. If we didn't drink it all then, we were convinced it would go bad. Needless to say, the next morning was quite painful. Ah.... youth.

I accidentally typed out our URL as ... dreamsandbones.net/bog and thought it might be fairly reasonable between the rain and mud and the rate we get things done at times.

Our blog hosting site has had some trouble, although it's being monitored and kept on a tight leash by the glorious and responsible Ruzz. You can read more about it at the Big Blog Tool main page. The site's been in transition for a while, officially sold back to Ruzz, as you can see on the page, but he's had a year or two like we have only minus the fire. Every time life seems to be in order, another albatross crashes in to ya. And John and I got along really well with Ruzz before our lives all went to hell in hand baskets. We're racing to see who gets back together first now.

A side effect of the problem with the BBT stuff is that if problems continue, Dreams and Bones could go down, since it is entirely supported by Big Blog Tool - which has had better, more responsive and more personal service than things like blogger. With some good luck it will only be a temporary probable for BBT, but we'll see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good luck.

After the (respiratory) flu (diagnosed by nose culture even) (ow!), the trip to Seattle for John's chocolate thing, and coming home with a different sort of flu, today, I think, Logan and I will be back to our normal school routine. Someone remind me to address my dad's comments -- I haven't read his family letter yet -- on Sid the lamb. I was sick when the FL came, and haven't particularly been not sick yet. Anyway, today Logan and I will rush home to try to get Sid his mid day bottle, tomorrow he'll get it way or miss it, Thursday and Friday, with luck we'll be home to get it to him again..

John's chocolate thing appeared to be a success. I slept when ever there was down time. And Logan and I got to meet with a friend from north of Seattle and her two little girls, which led to an afternoon of following little girls in the pool and then up and down the escalators at the convention centers, to their great joy. If they could just arrange to play that way every day (eight hour drive, without kid stops, notwithstanding) they'd be quite content!

Thank you Ruzz, O Great Blog Fixing Guy, the pile of knitting owed to you grows greater by the moment!

I'm glad I know how to get in touch with not-in-a-blog you.

Did that make any sense?

[Wed 08:21] Penelope ~
oh the many facets...

yeah, I hear from family when the blog goes down for too long, so I figured since I know it might, I'd better warn folks. Though Ruzz is on it, so with luck, it won't.
